ACANA diets follow Europe's pet food trade industry representative - FEDIAF's nutritional recommendations for dogs and cats to ensure complete and balanced diets.
Every ACANA Recipe includes:

- ⚊ Recipes balanced with vegetables, fruit, botanicals, & nutrients
- ⚊ Added vitamins and minerals, natural preservatives and probiotics

Follow the guide:
- ⚊ Mix your pet's new diet with the previous diet in 1:4 proportion for days 1-3
- ⚊ Then mix the two diets in equal 1:1 proportion for days 4-6
- ⚊ Then mix your pet's new diet with previous diet in 4:1 proportion for days 7-10
- ⚊ Finally try feeding your pet 100% of the new diet on day 11
We advise feeding your pet twice a day by dividing the suggested feeding guides in two proportions for two meals, spaced 8-12 hours apart. Consider that puppies and kittens require up to twice the energy of full-grown pets, and that overweight and senior pets often need smaller meals – just like people! Also keep in mind that you may need to adjust portions based on your pet’s ideal daily “maintenance” amount. These amounts may change over time as your pet ages. Always keep in mind that a lean dog or cat is a healthy pet.
Many dogs and cats have large appetites and will eat everything you feed them. As ACANA foods are highly palatable, you need to be careful not to overfeed, as this can cause issues such as loose stool or unwanted weight gain
